Here is a great site to look at to see  a range of Algebraic terms. There is a whole range of things to consider. Look at the section on sequences and read  it.  Can you see the difference between a finite and infinite sequence?  Numbers or letters can be used. Good luck!!

This picture was a Year 8 class activity from Maths 300 “REACHING FOR THE STARS”. Students were able to predict patterns of geometric shapes by passing a ball of wool. They could see a real problem and interacted well. They will be investigating patterns and graphs next as an introduction to Algebra.
